AQUATILIA & VOLATILIA
― And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. Bible, Genesis, chapterⅠ.

I once heard the story of a fish called Yamame.
Yamame is the name of a small fish of about 20 cm that you can commonly find in Japanese mountain streams.
It is said that the Yamame fish, once they are over with their juvenile period, divide into 2 groups. Those who end their lives in their hometown mountain stream and those that go off to sea. The individuals that manage to survive in the ocean eventually return where they were born as cherry hybrid salmon with a body length of about 60 cm.
Imagine a small Yamame wavering around, shining brightly under the moonlight, and boldly heading for the big ocean.
Its determination has been inspiring me ever since I heard the story.
